Let’s do the trick..

Mi Sound Enhancer

First, grab your phone (e.g: Mi 5, Mi 4, Redmi 3, Redmi Note 3, etc) and go to Settings. Next, tap on Sound & Vibration where sound-related settings located. Eventually, you should now notice an option named Audio Settings. Tap on it and enable Mi Sound Enhancer. This feature is designed to enhance and boost the sound produced by the device through the headphones or earphones. Simply toggle on to activate Mi Sound Enhancer and choose corresponding headphones or earphones. However, using original Mi headphones is recommended for a distinctive sound quality output.

Lastly, feel free to go to Equalizer setting and tune up the music according to the music genre you are listening to. You may also adjust the equalizer based on your personal feeling.

Why doesn’t it work with Bluetooth headphones? I have a pair of Xiaomi Sports Earbuds 4.1. It just doesn’t recognize my phone. It’s connected, but I can’t equalize the sounds.
