Being a flagship phone doesn’t mean that Mi 5 is free from brick issue. Users who deliberately play around tweaking their phone may still end up with bricked device. Well, as long as a device is still in soft-brick state then most-likely it can still be safed. Soft-brick is a broken device with something is going wrong at software level while hardbrick is at hardware level.
What about Mi 5, the powerful phone powered with Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset? One of Mi 5 users has fortunately found out a nice and easy way to fix and repair bricked Mi 5 device even it has unlocked bootloader. The best part, he did not even need to boot into EDL mode. No Fastboot, No EDL, and it works on locked Mi 5. It also works on MIUI Global Stable build. Sounds cool enough?
