Previously, we have posted a tutorial guiding any Xiaomi device users to flash MIUI 8 Fastboot ROM on their phones. However, the tutorial makes use of the official Mi Flash Tool that requires its users to firstly have their phone bootloader unlocked officially. Fortunately, there is another way how we can flash MIUI 8 Fastboot ROM on MediaTek-powered devices including Redmi Pro. In this tutorial you will see a working method on how to install MIUI 8 Fastboot ROM on Redmi Pro as the first solution to fix bricked or bootloop device. We’ll use SP Flash Tool, a Windows-based utility to flash Android ROM for MediaTek devices.
As a refresh, Redmi Pro boasts many cool hardware specifications and features under the hood including Mediatek MT6797T Helio X25 (or Mediatek MT6797 Helio X20 in Redmi Pro Standard), Mali-T880 MP4 GPU, Dual camera having 13 MP + 5MP lenses, 5MP front-facing camera, Fingerprint, accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, and so on.
