Just flashed MIUI 8 Developer ROM on your Redmi Note 3? Do you want to install Play Store on it without having to root your device? This guide shows you some easy steps to install Play Store and other necessary Google Apps on Redmi Note 3 Qualcomm Snapdragon (Kenzo) or Redmi Note 3 Special Edition running either MIUI 7 ( 7.3.8.0.LHOCNDD, 7.3.7.0.LHOMIDD) based on Android 5.1.1 or MIUI 7 (7.3.9.0.MHRMIDE) and MIUI 8 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. This guide is also applicable on any custom ROM you installed on that phone as long as it is based on Android 6.0.

There have been many Google installer apps, but users can not just download any installer and use it on their phone. Different device with different system needs specific installer package. Here in this page, we share the way how to install Play Store including required Google Service Framework, Account Manager, and Play Service on your Snapdragon-powered device running Marshmallow-based MIUI (like MIUI7 China Stable, or MIUI 8).

Step 1 – On your phone, please enable installation from Unknown Sources in theSettings.

Step 2Download and install ES File Explorer app, an alternative File Manager app with ability to unzip .zip file.

Step 3 – Download GApps for MIUI Marshmallow into your phone’s internal storage.

Step 4 – Open up ES File Explorer and go to the location of where you’ve downloaded Gapps .zip file. Extract the file using ES File Explorer (long press the file name to display more options).

You’ll then get 6 different folders named :

  1. Google Account Manager
  2. Google Services Framework
  3. Google Play Service
  4. Google Calendar Sync
  5. Google Contacts Sync
  6. Google Play Store

Step 5 – Please then install each of those apps one by one subsequentially from app no. 1 to no. 6.

Step 6 – Once done, it is better to reboot your phone to make sure all new changes are applied.
