How to Install MIUI 7.5 Global Stable on Redmi Note 3 MTK

Redmi Note 3 MTK MIUI Global Stable

Wait, is that for real now? Yeah we know that you may think that’s not possible since there is no MIUI Global Stable for Redmi Note 3 MTK yet. However, some developers have managed to port modified ROM build to another version just like what Anderson Aragao, one of MIUI Device Team, did with MIUI 7.5.1.0 for Redmi Note 3 MediaTek. Moreover, he also created two different builds of the ROM: Flashable MIUI Recovery .zip package and Flashable MIUI Fastboot package. In this post, we will share step by step guide on how to flash MIUI 7.5.1.0.LHMMIDE Global Stable ROM on Redmi Note 3 MTK (RN3MTK) using its flashable Recovery build.

Prerequisites

  1. A Redmi Note 3 MediaTek device (not the Snapdragon one);
  2. Your phone bootloader has to be unlocked officially already;
  3. It doesn’t need to be rooted but TWRP must be installed;
  4. Download MIUI 7.5.1.0 Recovery ROM (TWRP Edition);
  5. Make full Nandroid backup of your phone;

Before you proceed, please make sure you have created a full nandroid backup. This process should be safe. Step 1 – Transfer the downloaded MIUI 7.5.1.0.LHMMIDE .zip file into your phone’s internal storage – if you downloaded it into your PC first.

Step 2 – Now turn your phone off and reboot into TWRP Recovery by pressing Volume Up (+) and Power button simultaneously.

Step 3 – In TWRP, choose Wipe >> now you need to wipe System, Data, and Caches.

Step 4 – Go back to TWRP main menu and choose Install.

Step 5 – Now locate the MIUI 7.5.1.0 .zip file and flash it accordingly.

Step 6 – Wait for few seconds until TWRP finished the flashing process.

Step 7 – Once done, choose Reboot to reboot your phone into normal mode.
