As you may also aware, most of all Xiaomi devices running MIUI 7 (and 7.1, 7.2 or above) such as Redmi Note 2, Redmi Note 3, Redmi 2, Redmi 3, Mi 4, Mi 4c, Mi 4s and Mi 5 are now featuring Hidden Folder through File Explorer app. Therefore, users do not have to install any third-party app just to protect certain files and folders from any mischievous eyes.
Have tried it before? But then you want to restore it back? Simply follow steps below ..
Step 1 – First thing first, obviously you have to access the hidden folder. Launch up File Explorer fro your phone’s App Drawer.
Step 2 – Use your finger to swipe down from the top of the screen.
Step 3 – Now you have to enter PIN / Pattern / Password either the one you entered during the first hidden folder setup or the one you use with your device screen lock.
Step 4 – Next, you should now already be in Hidden folder and able to see all files you’ve hidden.
Step 5 – Simply tap and hold for awhile till the file is marked. You can then now select multiple files you wish to restore. Or simply tap on Select All button to unhide all files.
Step 6 – Tap on the Remove option to restore the file(s) selected to public folder. However, you’ll be asked to choose which location / folder you wish to restore the file(s) to.
Do not tap on Delete unless you really want to delete the file and remove it permanently.
That’s it. I hope that helps you just in case you really didn’t know how yet. Do not hesitate to share your experience with us or with any other users.
