How to flash stock Android ROM on Redmi Note 3 (Kenzo – Qualcomm Snapdragon) using modded AOSP v5.1.1 based on leaked Xiaomi MIUI v5.1.1 build 300 which is Lollipop variant with Linux 3.10.x Kernel. The process makes use of TWRP Recovery to flash the .zip file directly through the phone. Of course, your phone should have unlocked bootloader to do so.
Installing custom ROM will obviously replace installed MIUI but it will give enhanced experience as well as different user interface. RN3 Kenzo is indeed a powerful smartphone. It has been shipped with powerful Chipset and Processor as well as a bunch of advanced features. Initially priced at below £200, the device boasts Qualcomm MSM8956 Snapdragon 650 chipset featuring Quad-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A53 and Dual-core 1.8 GHz Cortex-A72 CPU backed up with Adreno 510. Having that under the hood, the phone is surely capable to deliver fluid gaming experience. It’s truly a flagship 5.5 inches device powered with 6 cores processor, 64-bit processing system, and fast dual channel RAM, that’s really worth its price.
Many are in doubt when come to installing custom ROM on that beast device. Most of its users worry about compatibility issues especially that RN3 Kenzo has fingerprint features at the rear side of its body. But the developer has stated that the AOSP ROM he built is fully compatible with RN3’s fingerprint scanner. It means users can simply install the ROM, replacing MIUI, and use it daily and no big issues are expected. The best part, the build has also been jump-packed with Google Apps (system, frameworks and apps), Xposed framework installed, and of course pre-rooted.
