MIUI 7: List of Phones getting MIUI 7 Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update

After the success of MIUI 6 in 2014, Xiaomi is set to release the newest software update, MIUI 7, on the same day, August 13, a year later. The new MIUI 7 will run with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.

What Does MIUI 7 Bring Users?

  • Individualized Themes
    User will be able to customize and individualize their designs with different themes, lock styles, icons and even colours. Your device will be your device alone.

  • Better Battery
    MIUI 7 users will be experience 30% faster system response time, by loading apps and images in parallel. Users will also experience a 10% longer battery life than MIUI 6. MIUI 7 minimizes the consumption by apps and by your device in standby or sleep mode. This means all users will be able to get things done faster and without the fear of using up their battery life.

  • New Features
    MIUI 7 offers a variety of new features to make sure that your experience with your device is a positive one. New feature include:

    • XXL text so that all words are readable and accessible to all users

    • Child mode to protect your children from different areas of the Internet, or simply to keep your private matters private

    • Notification management – so that you only receive notifications from the apps that you love

  • Bug Fixes
    Of course with any firmware update comes to promise of eliminating certain bugs from the previous version. MIUI 7 is no exception.

Xiaomi is set to release the Redmi Note 2, the first device to run on MIUI 7 from the moment it is powered on. The Redmi Note 2 is said to have incredible features that support and utilize the MIUI firmware, such as:
