  1. Download the Xiaomi Redmi 1S Unofficial 12.1 Custom ROM

  2. Alongside it, download the Gapps to your device

  3. Add those two downloads to directly to the root folder of your smart device’s internal storage folder.

  4. Double check to ensure that both downloads can be easily navigated to and are identifiable in the root folder’s internal storage folder.

  5. Promptly, turn off your phone as per normal means

  6. Boot your device into recovery mode by pressing and holding the power button along with the volume button at the same time

  7. Once in recovery mode, perform a factory reset on your device
