Check Out What is New on the Xiaomi Mi Note 2
Xiaomi announced that it would be releasing a Xiaomi Mi Note 2 and then publicly released photos of the Xiaomi Mi Note 2. This was a strategic marketing move done to drum up interest in the Xiaomi Mi Note phone. It sounds like this marketing move worked because Xiaomi sold out of their initial entire stock of Xiaomi Mi Note 2 phones in one minute.
Xiaomi announced the impending release of the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 smartphone on October twenty-fifth, and followed up the announcement by releasing the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 in November 2016. The early looks and reviews of the Xiaomi Note 2 suggests that it is a game-changer.
The known changes and upgrades of the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 signals that Xiaomi is going after Samsung’s smartphone market share. Given the recall of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 and Samsung’s legal problems with the Korean government, now is a key time for Xiaomi to increase their smartphone footprint.
It was speculated earlier in 2016, that Xiaomi and Huawei were both going to be releasing new versions of their flagship smartphones. Xiaomi has beaten Huawei to the punch getting the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 out and available to users. This is a clear signal the Xiaomi is after Huawei’s market share as well.
New Features on the Xiaomi Note 2
Curved Edge Screen
Xiaomi is discarding the traditional flat screen (used by the iPhone) and jumping on the curved edge screen train with the Xiaomi Mi Note 2. It looks like the curved edge screen is the wave of the future. Flat screen smartphones are so old fashioned. From the pictures released it appears that the Xiaomi Note 2 screen will be dual-curved or curved edge screen.
Users of the dual-curved or curved edge screen already understand the benefits this type of screen provide. Given that Samsung and Huawei both have smartphones with dual edged screens, one might wonder if the days of the flat screen smartphone are limited.
Advantages to a Curved Edge Screen:
- The wrapped screen gives the viewer a better streaming video experience.
- Certain functional touch buttons can be accessed on the sides of the phone which unclutters the home screen.
- Higher screen to body of the phone ratio.
- High-definition display.
The screen is an AMOLED capacitive touchscreen. AMOLED is an abbreviation for Advanced Matrix OLED. This is a hybrid display technology that combines an active matrix backplane from a traditional TFT (thin film transistor) display with an OLED (organic light emitting diode) display. The TFT display helps improve image quality and combining it with OLED leads to quality image display.
The resolution of the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is 1080 x 1920 pixels. This provides 386 ppi (pixels per inch) pixel density.
The screen size of the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is 5.7 inches or 14.48 centimeters. This is a striking 74.2% screen to body ratio. Also that is a higher ratio than the iPhone 7 plus which only has 67.7% screen to body ratio.
While this screen is not the largest screen size available on the market, the 2K video content should make up for the smaller size.
While Samsung and Huawei are using screens for their smartphones manufactured by Samsung, Xiaomi has partnered with LG to use the LG Display with the Xiaomi Mi Note 2. The deal between Xiaomi and LG allows Xiaomi to purchase a high volume of the curved displays. Since Xiaomi is not relying on a direct smartphone competitor for their curved screens, their ability to produce these smartphones is not limited. This is another signal that Xiaomi is looking to gobble up a large portion the smartphone market.
The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is 6.15 x 3.04 x .30 inches or 156.2 x 77.3 x 7.6 mm. It weighs in a 5.86 ounces or 166 grams. The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is also dual SIM capable; both nano SIM and dual standby.

Also the battery has fast charging capabilities. The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 has the Quick Charge 3.0 feature which allows it to charge eighty-three percent in thirty minutes.
The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 has an external speaker and a 3.5 millimeter headphone jack. The jack is 24-bit/192kHz audio. The jack also provides active noise cancellation with a dedicated microphone.

The first is 4 gigabytes of RAM and 64 gigabytes of storage memory and the second is 6 gigabytes of RAM and 128 gigabytes of storage memory. Since the initial product run of Xiaomi Note 2’s sold out is a single minute, the consumers agree.
