Redmi Note 4 – Key Specifications

Finally, Xiaomi’s first 10-core-powered smartphone is released. Known as Redmi Note 4 Mediatek, the phone is powered with Helio X20 SoC having 10 main CPUs with processing speed clocked up to 2.1 GHz. On top of that, the device sports 5.5 inches IPS touchscreen display running MIUI 8 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Under the hood, the Mediatek MT6797 Helio X20 is also powered with Mali-T880 MP4 Graphic Processing Unit (GPU). Having all of those together combined with 2GB RAM (Standard edition) or 3GB RAM (Pro edition), the device is surely a real beast among any other Android phones.

The Helio X20 performance has increased 62% compared to Helio X10 yet with 30 % more power efficiency. Let’s take a closer look at MediaTek MT6797 specs for a glance. This chipset is designed to perform extremely efficient multi-tasking jobs when compared to any dual core processors. The chipset consists of with 2x Cortex-A72 @ 2.5GHz as the main processors. The companion ones are 4x Cortex-A53 @ 2.0GHz and 4x Cortex-A53 @ 1.4GHz. The Mali-T880 MP4 GPU is clocked @ 700 MHz processing speed empowering a separate graphics processor which is solely intended for the accelerated creation of images to be outputted to a display.

This Xiaomi’s first 10 cores smartphone is available in two models: the 16GB model and the 64GB one. Just like usual, this phone will be available firstly in China for RMB 899 (around $135) and RMB 1199 (around $180) respectively.
