TWRP for Mi 5 Running MIUI 8

Xiaomi Mi 5 is one of devices getting MIUI 8 update based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Being as a flagship phone, Mi 5 has been available globally outside China. Many people have been overwhelmed by its awesomeness especially for its hardware specifications. Under the hood, the flagship phone boasts Qualcomm MSM8996 Snapdragon 820 chipset powered with Dual-core 1.8 GHz Kryo & dual-core 1.36 GHz Kryo CPUs on its Standard Edition. Therefore, it draws people attention easily especially when its price is cheaper than other brand’s flagship phones with similar specs.

Previously, we have posted TWRP v3 build 20160324 for Mi 5 which unfortunately it seems having a bug preventing users to make use of its touchscreen feature. Hence, there are other builds of TWRP custom recovery for Mi 5 (both MIUI 7 and MIUi 8) with fixed and usable touchscreen feature you can download via direct links from our US-based server. Each TWRP package contains flashable image (.img) file. You will still need a PC to flash the recovery image file through Fastboot mode.
